What is Reiki?
Reiki is a complementary therapy founded by Mikao Usui in Japan. The name Reiki originates from the Japanese words ‘rei’ meaning ‘universal’ and ‘ki’ meaning ‘energy’.
This universal energy is channeled through the practitioner to the recipient and works on all levels of the mind, body, emotion and spirit. Reiki can promote total harmony and restore balance within the body; allowing you to be at your optimum to deal with all aspects of life.
As a natural healing system, Reiki is a safe, non-invasive treatment and can therefore benefit everyone, from young babies to adults. All diseases and ailments can be aided with Reiki and it is safe to use in conjunction with other complementary therapies and conventional medical treatments.
